About me

My name is Alex. Right now I live in Cyprus with my wife and one dog. In 2011 I started develop simple websites, in 2013 I got into computer science, in 2015 I moved into software quality, and in recent years I’ve been working a lot with observability, resilience, and other aspects of high-load systems.

Thanks to the experience I’ve gained, I have a solid understanding of software development. I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned and, with no less interest, learning from others.

These days I work as a tech lead, and sometimes I spend so much time at the computer that it really upsets my dog. By the way, here he is — waiting for me to finally play with him.

Why did I decide to start a blog?

For completely selfish reasons! I really love exploring new things, trying to break something, fix it, and use it in ways it wasn’t intended to be used. And is there any better way to learn something than to try to explain it to someone else in a way they actually understand?
